February 18, 1998, Pioneer Railcorp through its wholly-owned subsidiary Pioneer
Industrial Railway Co. (PRY), began operating approximately 8.5
miles of railroad in Peoria County, Illinois when the Peoria & Pekin Union Railway Co.
(PPU) assigned its lease with the owner, the Peoria, Peoria Heights & Western Railroad
(PPHW) to Pioneer Railcorp. PPHW is
owned by the City of Peoria, Illinois and the village of Peoria Heights, Illinois. The railroads principal commodities are
